SHIPPING POLICY

Kernel Encore Gourmet Popcorn is not like those other popcorn companies that have popcorn stored in a warehouse somewhere. Consider us to be your personal popcorn chef. We'll make your popcorn after you order it to guarantee freshness. Our Standard Processing time is 7 days. We will work to get your order ready as soon as possible and will not delay it unnecessarily. This means your order will be ready to leave our facility within seven calendar days. If the seventh day falls on a weekend or holiday your order processing time could be extended until the next business or shipping day. If you absolutely need your popcorn shipped or ready quickly we do offer two premium processing options.
 
Select Rush Processing for 1-2 day processing. Your order will be shipped or ready by the end of TOMORROW or the DAY AFTER TOMORROW based on the time your order is placed (Eastern Time). For orders placed over the weekend the shipped or ready day is Tuesday. There is a service charge of $10 for Rush Processing. Since there is limited time to process your order, if we are not able to accommodate your Rush Processing request we will contact you by phone.
 
Select Urgent Processing for same or next day processing. Your order will be shipped or ready by the end of TODAY OR TOMORROW based on the time your order is placed (Eastern Time). For orders placed over the weekend the shipped or ready day is Monday. There is a service charge of $25 for Urgent Processing. Since there is limited time to process your order, if we are not able to accommodate your Urgent Processing request we will contact you by phone.
 
You can also schedule your exact shipped or ready day for any date between 7 and 90 days after your order date. We will base our ship day on the date your order is placed (Eastern Time) and add the appropriate amount of days. If this day falls on a weekend or holiday your order will be shipped or ready on the shipping day before.
 
Shipments leave our facility after 4:00 PM Eastern Time. You will receive a shipping confirmation when your order is ready to leave our facility. You may receive a shipping confirmation late in the day or over the weekend for an order that will not leave our facility until the next business day. The tracking number provided in your shipping confirmation will give you the ability to track your package on UPS.com, FedEx.com or USPS.com after the package is scanned into their system.
 
We ship our products using UPS, FedEx and USPS shipping services to addresses within the United States and District of Columbia. We use USPS Priority Mail shipping services for all shipments to domestic post office boxes, U.S. territories and APO/FPO/DPO addresses. All shipping charges are determined by the total weight of the product ordered. The related costs are displayed in your shopping cart before completing the checkout process.
 
The maps below shows the number of business days your order will be in transit from the day it ships out. All references to time-in-transit are provided by each shipping service. The service times shown do not include our order production time. Shipping guarantees may be available from the shipping service for the shipping portion of your order cost based on the shipping service selected.

EXPEDITED SHIPMENTS: We understand that sometimes you need your popcorn to arrive in a hurry. We do offer expedited shipping options such as UPS Next Day Air and UPS 2nd Day Air. In general, by choosing a faster shipping service you will only speed up the shipping time for your order. Since most of our popcorn is made to order there is still production time. Please also choose a processing option that gets your order shipped or ready in time. We are currently not able to offer Saturday delivery service with air shipments through UPS and FedEx as this is an extra charge (call us if this is necessary). For example, a 2nd Day Air shipment leaving on Thursday or a Next Day Air shipment leaving on Friday will not arrive at the destination until Monday. If you have any questions about our production and shipping times, please Contact Us.
 
WARM WEATHER SHIPPING: While we take every precaution to ensure you are completely satisfied with our popcorn, shipping any of our chocolate products during warm months may cause the product to melt. We do pack frozen gel packs with any Popcorn By The Bag products containing a chocolate that may melt. These gel packs last a short amount of time and we strongly recommend a shipping option that will get the product to you in one to two calendar days. If you do order chocolate products that will be in transit longer than two days, please inspect the product for melting before you open it. You may be able to place the bag(s) in a freezer for a short amount of time to allow the chocolate to harden again. Regrettably we cannot guarantee against melting chocolate. HOLIDAY SHIPPING: ALL orders during the peak holiday season (December 12 through just after New Year's Day) are processed as quickly as possible. Due to the high volume of orders, production time by Kernel Encore, shipping times by the various shipping services, and requested delivery dates are not guaranteed.
